Monthly Calendar Photo Contest
This is to supplement the Precious Pets thread over at the Dogster Friends site. The monthly photo contest will run October through September, with the creation of a paper calendar featuring the winners from each month!

Below are some general guidelines (updated October 2022), followed by themes, and links to view photos and vote.
Guidelines...
- Pets only in the photos. No people.
- Landscape orientation is preferred, and fits better in the paper calendar. So photos that are wider than they are tall are best.
- Each pet can win first place only once per contest year, but you are eligible for second and third place still. No limitations on those.
- To help ensure that every family makes the calendar (at this time we have 12 active families) each family can win first place only once until every family has a first place win. Then other pets in the family who do not have a first place win will be eligible for first place again.
- One photo per pet for voting per month.
We encourage you to submit extra photos for viewing only and for an extended version calendar with extra pages that include all the submissions and extras (as space permits). Submit as many as you like for viewing only. If submitting more than one photo, please indicate which one is for voting. - Photoshopped photos are not eligible for voting, but you may include them for viewing only/extras.
- We encourage you to include captions with your photos!!
- First place submissions should have a minimum width of 1000 pixels. Smaller photos can end up looking very pixelated and may not be large enough for the printed calendar. Smaller photos might still work for second or third place photos and will certainly work for extras/extended version calendar.
- Voting - one vote per month per household please.
- Submit entries until the last day of the month, 10:00 pm EASTERN time. Voting will be the first seven days of the following month. Links for voting will be below.
- Photos will be displayed on this site. There will be links below next to the themes once any photos have been submitted.
